FAQs
The beds have been made to accommodate your child as they grow. The standard mattress sizes (90x200 or 120x200) mean that these beds have to time limit or restriction of use.
The Cocoon Bed takes a 160 x 26cm mattress, while the Secret Hideout Bunk Bed takes a 90 x 200 x 26cm mattress. Both are available to shop directly with us, so you can order the correct fit alongside your bed.
Yes. Matching mattresses in the correct size for each bed (160 x 26cm for the Cocoon Bed and 90 x 200 x 26cm for the Secret Hideout Bunk Bed ) are sold separately and can be added to your order alongside the bed.
The Secret Hideout Bunk Bed is designed with safety at its core. The wooden ladder is fixed securely to the frame, ensuring stable, supported access to the top bunk. The top bunk features a tall, fixed side panel, keeping your child safely enclosed and preventing rolling or falling out during sleep. The bed is crafted with a sturdy structure built to withstand everyday use, and the Oak Ollie wood finish is treated with a non-toxic, child-safe coating.
Both the Wonder and Super Bed can be purchased to accommodate either a 90x200 or 120x200 mattress, so you can choose the size that suits your child's room best.
SX means left, DX means right, short for the Italian words sinistra and destra. On the Super Bed and Wonder Bed, this tells you which side the side panel sits on, so choose SX or DX based on which side suits your room. Not sure which one you need? Our Sales Concierge can help before you order.
Yes. The Super Bed and Wonder Bed Side Panel is available in both SX and DX orientations, so the bed can be positioned to suit the layout of the room.
Our beds are offered in a choice of Italian fabrics and finishes, including Flannel (100% wool, medium-weight), Pop Canvas (100% cotton, water-repellent), Chenille (a richly textured jacquard with strong abrasion resistance), Bouclé (a luxurious jacquard blend), and Veg Nabuk (a suede-like, water-repellent finish). The Secret Hideout Bunk Bed also offers an Oak Ollie natural wood finish and a Caramel leather detail.
Yes. Each fabric is tested for abrasion and pilling resistance: Pop Canvas withstands 25,000+ Martindale cycles, Chenille and Veg Nabuk considerably more, and Bouclé is rated to 60,000 cycles. All are chosen to hold their appearance under regular, long-term use.
Most of our upholstery fabrics carry fire retardancy certification (including BS 5852-1 and TB117-2013), with the exception of Pop Canvas, which is not currently certified. If fire safety certification is a requirement for your home, we're happy to point you to the certified alternatives.
Care varies by fabric. Flannel and Pop Canvas can be machine washed at 30°C (avoiding bleach, tumble drying and high iron heat), while Chenille, Bouclé and Veg Nabuk require professional dry cleaning or spot cleaning only. We recommend checking the specific care label for your chosen fabric before first use.
